When and Where
AVAIL’s one-day Confluence San Francisco event will be Wednesday, April 23, 2025 in San Francisco. Programming will be held at China Live with a social following at Brick & Mortar Ventures.

Confluence events attract the most creative, innovative technology leaders in AEC—including both firm practitioners and software companies.
Theme
Confluence San Francisco 2025’s programming will continue the conversation from our signature Confluence Lexington event exploring progress AEC firms and technology companies have made in implementing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) technologies.
Education Sessions
Confluence San Francisco is structured around four education sessions led by industry experts. They explore technology—this year, AI—and its AEC implications.
Networking
Our focused, single-day structure fosters community amongst attendees. We are careful to build opportunities for guests to discuss what they are learning in real time with the leaders next to them.
Fueling the Conversation
Sessions will be held at award-winning restaurant China Live with chef-crafted menu selections for breakfast and lunch. The conversation will continue over drinks and snacks at Brick & Mortar Ventures.

Employing AI - From Vision to Production
Bill Allen is the Director of Product Management at 3D visualization technology company Chaos. In his Confluence session, Bill will share the results of Chaos’ past 12 months of AI initiatives, exploring the realities of what can be applied to projects today and the possibilities for future projects.



Unlocking the Potential of Knowledge Management with AI Search
Having served as a technology leader at Steinberg Architects and SMWM (Perkins&Will), Christopher Parsons is now the Founder and CEO of Knowledge Architecture, where he is responsible for product development, marketing, and organizational health. In his Confluence session, Christopher will explore how the AEC industry is entering a golden era of knowledge management—one where AI-powered tools transform how firms capture, curate, and leverage their collective expertise.

ML, AI and the Future of Search
The host of Confluence, AVAIL CEO and Founder Randall Stevens is passionate about leveraging machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) advancements to improve content management system (CMS) search and expose new ways of interacting with a firm’s information. In his Confluence session, Randall will showcase new auto-tagging technologies, chatbots that are digesting information in new ways, and AVAIL’s next-generation Suggestion Engine.

Demystifying AI and How Olson Kundig Integrates Technology
Olson Kundig’s Director of Technology Kenton Grant leads both IT and the firm’s new Design Technology department, which is at the forefront of integrating AI, XR, drones, and advancing project-focused BIM strategies. His session with Associate Gavin Argo will explore how AI is shaping the firm’s design processes, share tools and strategies, and discuss the firm’s unique top-down + bottom-up approach to innovation.
